I'm Neil Hutchinson and have been a proud member of Clacton Golf Club since moving to the area in February 2021.
Married with two grown-up daughters, I've owned and run a service and repair garage in Shenfield for over 35 years. I believe Clacton is possibly one of the best golf courses in Essex, and I feel very honoured to be your Captain in 2025.
My aim is to encourage all members to have a voice in how the Club is run and to support both you and the Club through my connections across Essex and beyond. I'm also pleased to introduce my chosen charity for the year- The Youth Enquiry Service (YES) in North East Essex and Suffolk.
Since 1988, this award winning charity , has supported young people with vital services, from housing and benefits advice, to counseling and parenting support. YES works closely with families, GP's, schools and local networks to help young people navigate challenges around mental health, wellbeing, school absence and more.
I hope you will join me in backing YES's essential work, with a bit of financial support in 2025-26.
You will often find me playing on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and I look forward to getting to know many more of you, both new and long standing members, during my Captaincy year.
