Clacton Juniors
Saturday September 27th, Clacton Juniors played for the Nick Starling Trophy. Charlie Beasley taking first place with 40 points from Milo Locke with 39 points. Just 1 point further behind was Charlie Heffer with 38 points.
This weekend, Clacton welcome Frinton Golf Club for the annual Sainsbury Cup with the Clacton Men playing Frinton for the Bentley Cup
Clacton Seniors
Monday September 29th, Clacton Seniors played their last home Inter-Club match for the year. Opponents were Felixstowe and signing off in style, Clacton won the match 5.5 / 2.5.
On Thursday September 25th, Clacton Seniors finished off their main season, with their Victor Ludorum – Overall Champion. Nick Smith took the title with a nett from Peter Stephens in second with a nett 75 and John Kemp was third with a nett 77 – Well done Nick!
Monday September 25th, Clacton Seniors played their weekly challenge. Terry Hewitt was two shots clear with 40 points, Paul Read second with 38 points and Stephen Guilfoyle took third place on count back from Stephen Hurved with both players scoring 37 points.

Clacton Ladies
On Tuesday September 23rd, Clacton Ladies played for the annual Jura Trophy - Well done to Lisa Mackenzie for winning with 36 points on countback from Judy Speck, these scores were closely followed by Jackie Hart with 35 points. Well done to you all.
On Thursday September 25th, the Ladies played a Clacton Scramble with the Seniors and everyone had an enjoyable time. The team that won were Steve Rockell, Ray Justice, Terry Whiting and Diana Maddox. Well done to everyone who played in the very windy conditions.
Club
On Saturday September the Club held their September medal, with over 140 entrants playing in superb conditions.
Wayne Mardle won Division 1 with a nett 68. Second place went to Christopher Morgan with a nett 69. Three players came in with nett 71’s and on count-back, Chris Pickard was third, Keith Buxton fourth and Craig James fifth.
Division 2 winner was Daniel Morgan with a net 65, three players then returned nett 69’s with Alan Hearn taking second, Kye Simpson third and Ollie MacDonald fourth.
Division 3 winner shooting the lowest nett score on the day was Nigel Brumpton with a nett 64. Again, three players returned nett 69’s, with Chas Hughes taking second place, Julia Hewett third and Diana Kedge fourth.
And Finally
On September 16th Michelle Day recorded her first hole in one on the second hole at Clacton on Sea Golf Club. Not to be outdone, husband Craig, eight days later aces the 7th for his hole in one. Many congratulations to Mr and Mrs Day on your incredibly unique achievement from everyone at the Club!
