Ladies/ Girls Taster Event- Friday 23rd May 2025

We are running a Ladies/ Girls Taster Event with the help of our friendly Club Pro's, Michael & Sam. The event will include two coaching sessions on the practice field and putting green, followed by sandwiches and a refreshing drink. All equipment will be provided and we recommend you wear comfortable clothing and trainers. The cost for the event is £10, but all attendees will receive a £10 voucher to spend in the Club Pro Shop. The Good Friday Easter Egg competition was well supported in all three divisions. Div 1 -Liam Clarke came first with 35pts on countback from Alfie Barns, Peter Hewett & Brett Hawkins.
Div 2 – 1st Leigh Gentry 40pts, Steve Scott 2nd 37pts on countback from Louie Brewer.
Div 3 – 1st Steve Hunt 40pts, Jordon Mallett 2nd 39pts 3rd Brian Wiggins 34pts.
The Mens/Ladies Mid-week Medal was won by Craig Green 79-10=69, second Chay Robinson 75-4=71 on countback from Warren Brown & Hoon Locke.
The ladies have also had successes this week, Tania Fuller won her Silver Knockout round playing against Burnham on Crouch at home. Hoon Locke and Simone Maxwell won on their Essex County High/Low match against Burnham. Well done to Coco Locke who won the first of this season Junior Open, under 14s with 39pts at Thorndon Park.
The Ladies Tuesday competition was a single stableford, Tania Fuller came first 39pts, Simone Maxwell, second 36pts, Jeanette Shea third with 35pts on countback from Hoon Locke.

The Junior Youth Shield team have got off to a great start this season. Playing at home and away at Colchester GC, the home team of Louie Brewer, Ashley Hodder, Vince Chung & Jay White won 3 & 2, the away team of Milo Locke, Cooper Hayes, Ethan Dalzell, Jonnie Down & Coco Locke won 4 & 1. Charlie Beasley also won his first friendly match away at Colchester 6 up.
